In loving memory of Angelo Walter Villarosa
He was our coffee‑fuelled, beach‑loving, bad‑pun‑telling champion. We’ve created this tribute page to honour his life, his courage and his quiet strength.
Angelo was diagnosed with a GR4 GBM in July 2024. From that moment, he faced each scan, surgery and treatment with remarkable dignity and determination. Despite the fear and uncertainty, he was always more worried about his family than himself. He fought so hard to gift us those extra 821 days. They were filled with everyday moments, laughter, tears and love that we will never forget.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to support brain cancer research in Angelo’s memory. Brain cancer is rare but brutal: survival rates have barely changed in 30 years, and it kills more children and under‑40s than any other cancer in Australia.
GBM, in particular, is one of the most aggressive and under‑funded cancers. It is scientifically difficult, because every brain is unique and these tumours are complex and still poorly understood. Research is the only way to change this story.
Every donation, of any size, goes directly towards vital research at The Brain Cancer Centre, founded by Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer and established in partnership with The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI), with support from Vic Gov. Their work aims to give future patients and families better options, better outcomes, and real hope.
Thank you for helping us turn our grief into something that may one day spare other families from this heartbreak.

For our Master Angelo- the Music Master, the Maths Master, the Science Master, the LEGO Master, Jack of all trades and the Master of all. But nothing was more important to Angelo than being the Master for his home and beautiful family. This special human was struck with this cruel disease that currently has no cure. We hope this donation can assist in finding a solution, a strategy , and ultimately a cure to improve the survival rates of GBM patients and support the families whom care for their loved one. You should never have been taken away from us in this way - you will always be our Master - always loved and always missed ❤️

Allegra, Sofia And Dullens Family Xo
For our Nonno, and for a future without brain cancer ❤️ In April 2024, when our family was living with Nonno, Allegra began noticing that something wasn't quite right. While they were reading together each night, she noticed that Nonno was stuttering and having trouble speaking. At the time, we thought he was simply tired. In July 2024, Nonno was diagnosed with a brain tumour that was affecting his speech. Since then, we have watched someone we love so much go through the devastating effects of brain cancer. We want to support brain cancer research because we hope that one day there will be better treatments, more answers and, ultimately, a cure. We want other children to have more time reading with their grandparents, making memories with them and enjoying the everyday moments that mean so much. By raising money in Nonno's honour, we hope to help other families have more time together and prevent other children from having to watch someone they love go through this terrible disease. We love you forever, Nonno. ❤️

Angelo/Dad was one of those people who never needed to be the centre of attention. He was quiet, humble, endlessly patient and kind, and happiest simply being surrounded by the people he loved. Music was a huge part of who Angelo was. He could play the piano accordion, guitar, piano and harmonica, and loved everything from Pink Floyd and Deep Purple to Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Queen. He loved dancing with his wife, travelling the world with her, relaxing on the beach, his treasured vinyl collection and all of life’s simple pleasures. But above everything else, Angelo loved his family. He was also someone people could always rely on. Whether it was family, friends or colleagues, Angelo would quietly stop what he was doing and help. He never wanted recognition and never expected anything in return. That was simply who Angelo was. Our lives changed when Angelo was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma. Watching someone we love so deeply go through this devastating disease is something we wish our family had never experienced. We would give anything for Angelo’s story to have ended differently. And that is really why this page exists. In honour of Angelo, and in the hope that one day, through greater awareness, research and progress, the ending can be different for so many other people and the families who love them. Supporting Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer in Angelo’s memory feels like a fitting tribute to a man who spent so much of his life quietly helping others. Angelo was so deeply loved, and he will be so deeply missed. He leaves behind an incredible life, a lifetime of memories, and a family who will carry him with us always. For our beautiful Angelo/Dad❤️ Forever loved, forever missed and forever part of us. Elisabeth, Bianca and AJ
