Making a difference
Together with our gym community beneFIT Strength & Conditioning and SBR Rockingham, I'm creating a special event in memory of my brother, Tyler.
Tyler was diagnosed with brain cancer at just 29 years old and, after an incredibly brave 18-month battle, sadly passed away at 30.
On November 15, Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer will take on their fifth and final half marathon in Hobart, running up Mt Wellington. We’ve decided to hold our own Fun Run to support their efforts and help raise vital funds for brain cancer research.
Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in children and adults under 40, with around 2,000 Australians diagnosed each year. We want to do everything we can to support the brilliant researchers working tirelessly to find better treatments - and ultimately, a cure.
There are a few ways you can get involved:
* Make a donation directly through this fundraising page.
* Donate in support of one of our runners.
* Purchase an entry ticket to join us on the day - the proceeds from your ticket will also be donated through this page.
Even if you can’t take part, you can still make a difference by sharing our fundraising page with your friends and family. The more people who hear about Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, the greater the impact we can make together.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support. It truly means more to us than we can say.
